Author's account of the lives of her great-grandmother, great-aunt and grandparents who were caught up in the Japanese invasion of Hong Kong in late 1941. Relates how along with hundreds of other civilians they were imprisoned by the Japanese in the Stanley Civilian Internment Camp. Records the privations endured and the family's journey to Australia after they were liberated in 1945. Includes photos and bibliography. Author is a commercial helicopter pilot and motivational speaker who previously wrote 'The Best I Can Be'.
